Yas Wins Ookla Award for the third time

The mobile service company, Yas, was announced today as the winner of the Ookla award for the fastest growing network in Tanzania for the third consecutive time. The award was presented by Ookla, a company based in the United States.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the Acting CEO of Yas Tanzania, Jerome Albou, stated that the success of winning this award reflects the company’s investment by strengthening its infrastructure.

"It is our pride to receive this award once again, which is due to our commitment and the significant investment we've made in infrastructure. Particularly, it is because of our valuable customers who continue to support us," said Albou.

He added that as a company, they will continue to improve their services by investing in infrastructure.

Speaking on behalf of the CEO of Ookla, the Director of Sales for the Middle East and Africa, Osama Nawayseh, said the award is based on their research in network performance, where Yas has been found to have the fastest network in Tanzania.
He explained that the process of selecting the winner is done by a panel of experts using various international criteria.

"We congratulate Yas for their investment, which  has made them winner of this award for the third time. Yas network has been found to be the fastest, and we are happy to present this award once again," said Nawayseh.

The Director of Engineering and Communications for Yas Tanzania, Emmanuel Mally, said that the award has motivated them to continue providing quality services to Tanzanians and further improving their infrastructure.
