Mbozi DC Ester Mahawe passes away
THE District Commissioner of Mbozi Ester Mahawe, passed away today, January 14, 2025, at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), where she was receiving treatment.
In a statement issued by the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government) Mohamed Mchengerwa, on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, heartfelt condolences were conveyed.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Ester Mahawe, District Commissioner of Mbozi in Songwe Region. On behalf of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, I extend my sincere condolences to her family, the Songwe Regional Commissioner, colleagues, residents of Mbozi District, and all relatives and friends mourning this loss. May the Almighty God grant her eternal peace,” he said.
