WORLD Vision Tanzania is set to implement a clean and safe water project at Kwedizinga Village in Handeni District, Tanga Region, designed to benefit 3,890 people.
The organisation’s operations director, Nesserian Mollel, said in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the project is expected to cost 50m/- , supporting the government’s efforts to improve the country’s water sector.
Mollel explained that the project aims to provide clean and safe water to local residents, including 2,139 children.
He emphasised that the funds will be used to drill a well, install a solar-powered water pump system, build a water storage tank, create a water distribution network, and supply water to the village.
"Our goal is to reach many communities in need and support the efforts of other stakeholders providing clean and safe water services," he said.
Mollel also highlighted that the organisation, in partnership with water sector stakeholders, had provided water services to approximately 1.2 million people across the country.
Additionally, World Vision Tanzania has launched new water systems at Mwatumbe Village in Maswa District, Shinyanga Region and Mahaha Village in Karatu District, Arusha Region.
