The 73rd ACI Africa Board and Committee meeting, along with the regional conference and exhibition, is scheduled to take place in Arusha, from April 24 to 30, 2025. Hosted by the Tanzania Airports Authority, the event promises to bring together aviation and tourism leaders, policymakers, and industry experts from across Africa and beyond.
Transport Minister Prof. Makame Mbarawa told journalists in Arusha that the upcoming ACI meeting offers a vital platform for Tanzania and other African nations to exchange expertise and enhance skills within the local aviation industry.
“Tanzania will also benefit from hosting this meeting as our aviation personnel will learn from their counterparts, while the event will also boost conference and wildlife tourism,” Prof. Mbarawa emphasised.
President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to attend the continental meeting, which will run from April 24 to 30, 2025. The event will be hosted by the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) and will coincide with the Regional Conference and Exhibition.
This year's theme, "Navigating Towards a Greener Future: Harnessing Sustainable Aviation and Tourism for Economic Prosperity," will focus on sustainable practices to drive economic growth while ensuring environmental stewardship in the air transport and tourism sectors.
Delegates will have the opportunity to connect with industry peers, share insights, and explore innovative solutions that shape the future of aviation and tourism in Africa.
With Arusha's reputation as a premier destination for global and regional events, participants are encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for an impactful week of networking and knowledge-sharing.
