CARAVANS C's cricketer Abhishek Sinha is in hot pursuit of the Best Bowler prize in this season's Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) DC League 2, as the performer is leading the showdown's wicket-takers list.

In Caravans C's four matches, Sinha has amassed nine wickets and given away 35 runs.

The cricketer, who has bowled 10.5 overs, boasts an economy rate of 3.23 and an average rate of 3.89.

On Sinha's best day with the ball, the cricketer raked up 5-13 to propel Caravans C to a seven-run victory over Estim B in Dar es Salaam on March 16.

The cricketer's bowling exploits have helped Caravans C turn into one of the serious contenders for silverware in the showdown.

Dar Black Panthers' Hilal Mohamed is positioned second in the wicket-takers list, having secured eight wickets in four matches.

Mohamed has, in 16 overs bowled, leaked 98 runs and notched an economy rate of 6.12 and an average rate of 12.25.

In Mohamed's best showing with the ball, the player hauled 4-13 as Dar Black Panthers cruised to a four-wicket victory over Caravans C on March 2.

Third-placed Priteshkumar Patel of Specialized K&P B takes pride in seven wickets taken in two outings.

In eight overs bowled, Patel has given away 31 runs, secured an economy rate of 3.88 and an average rate of 4.43.

Shivan Kamania of Gupta Upanga SC- B is coming fourth in the wicket-takers list with his six wickets in two clashes.

Kamania, having bowled eight overs and conceded 29 runs, boasts a 3.62 economy rate and 4.83 average rate.

The other Gupta Upanga SC- B's cricketer, Himanshu Darji, sits fifth in the wicket-takers list with six wickets in two fixtures.

Even though Darji has tied his teammate in the wickets taken, the former has slightly inferior statistics.

Darji has given away 42 runs in eight overs bowled, notched an average rate of 7.00 and an economy rate of 5.25.

In the best bowling display for Darji, the cricketer grabbed 4-19 in Gupta Upanga SC- B's comprehensive five-wicket win over Dar Tigers early last month.

It was, by far, the best showing with the ball on the day, with Gupta Upanga SC- B gallantly getting down to a successful chase of a modest 89-run target set up by Dar Tigers.

Karibu Tanzanite DCC's Assad Aziz (five wickets giving away 30 runs), Dar Black Panthers' Mohammad Zaid (five wickets giving away 73 runs), and Patel Titans' Vipinkumar Patel (five wickets giving away 30 runs) have been placed sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively.

Caravans C's Arjun Kumar is sitting ninth in the leading wicket-takers list, having taken five wickets in five ties.

Arjun - whose best bowling performance saw him haul 3-20 - has, in 10 overs bowled, given away 50 runs, notched a 10.00 average rate and a 5.00 economy rate.

Estim B's Khushal Gorasiya completes the top 10 list of the 2025 TCA DC League 2's leading wicket-takers.

In Estim B's three matches, Gorasiya has posted five wickets in 11 overs bowled, leaking 61 runs.

Gorasiya, also the Estim B skipper, had his best bowling day early in February, as he garnered 3-19 and guided Estim B to a five-wicket thrashing of Annadil Seifee.

This season's TCA DC League 2, played in a 20-over format, has 20 clubs battling for the top honour.

The participating outfits have been put in groups A and B, consisting of 10 clubs apiece.

Dar Black Panthers, Patel B, Estim B, Caravans C, DJ Fighters, Sandy's Super Strikers, Annadil Seifee, MCC, Union Youth, and Strikers B feature in Group A.

Gupta Upanga SC- B, Karibu Tanzanite DCC, Specialized K&P B, Patel Titans, Unisoft Aces C, SKLPSC B, Lions C, Dar Tigers, Dar Indians Titans B, and Tamil Nadu SC make Group B.
