TANZANIA's batsmen have enjoyed a stellar outing in the Quad Nations T20 Cup– Arjun Menon Memorial, as the tournament concluded in Blantyre last Sunday.
Top-order batsman Arun Yadav won the showdown's Best Batsman prize having amassed 318 runs in six games.
Yadav faced 195 balls in the six outings, boasting one not out showing to end as the showpiece's top run getter.
In his best batting showing, Yadav hammered 86 runs when Tanzania confronted Malawi on July 6 and chalked up a comprehensive win.
Tanzania's other key player, Ajith Augastin, was in the fourth spot in the race for the tournament's top batsman prize.
Augastin scored 181 runs in six duels at a strike rate of 136.09. The player secured one not out showing, with his best batting display coming in his team's encounter with Bahrain on July 8.
Compatriot Mukesh Maker came seventh in the leading run-getters table, having garnered 152 runs in six encounters.
Maker boasted three unbeaten stints with the bat, with his runs coming at a strike rate of 153.54.
Musaddiq Ahmed of Germany ended second in the leading run-getters table with 275 runs in six innings.
Bahrain's dependable cricketer Fiaz Ahmed finished third, scoring 257 runs as his team grabbed the second spot with a loss to Tanzania in the final.
Malawi's key run getter, Sami Sohail, garnered fifth spot with his 170 runs, followed by compatriot Aaftab Limdawala, placed sixth with his 165 runs.
Bahrain's cricketers Sohail Ahmed, who scored 150 runs, and Prashant Kurup, who scored 132 runs, ended up eighth and ninth, respectively, in the leading run-getters' list.
Malawi's Saleem Nihute wrapped up the top 10 of the leading run-getters' list, scoring 122 runs.
In his best batting outing, Nihute secured 56 runs when Malawi came up against Germany in the third-place playoff on July 13- which had Germany securing victory.

There were, moreover, individual honours won by Tanzania's cricketers to thrillingly wind up the team's stint in the tournament.
Seasoned pacer Ally Kimote was voted as the Best Bowler and the Best Fielder honour went to Dhrumit Mehta.
It was also a fitting moment for Yadav to be voted as the Most Valuable Player.
Tanzania's senior national cricket team, taking part in the competition, comprises Umar Basha, Salum Jumbe, Raymond Francis, Mukesh Maker, Mohamed Simba, Laksh Bakrania, and Khalid Amiri.
Kassim Nassoro, Dhrumit Mehta, Arun Yadav, Ally Mpeka, Ally Hafidh, Ajith Augastin, and Acrey Paschal also make the squad.
The Quad Nations T20 Cup is, as per Cricket Malawi, hosted in memory of the association's Operations Manager Arjun Menon, who passed away recently.
Bahrain, Germany, Malawi, and Tanzania battled for the top honour in the 10-day tournament.
