RENOWNED football administrator Ismail Aden Rage has expressed confidence in Simba SC's ability to perform well in their CAF Confederation Cup Group A match despite playing behind closed doors.

Simba SC will face CS Constantine tomorrow at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

In a recent interview, Rage, a former chairman of Simba SC, stated that the Msimbazi Street-based side comprises professional players capable of excelling under any circumstances.

“Simba have players who can play in any situation. They are professional players, and playing without fans cannot affect their performance. Of course, supporters motivate players, but in this case, Simba players have to accept that they will play without supporters,” he said.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) banned Simba supporters from attending the match due to crowd trouble during their previous Confederation Cup game against CS Sfaxien at the same venue.

In addition to the fan ban, Simba SC has been fined $40,000 (approximately 100 million Tanzanian shillings).
