The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting key economic sectors through enhanced engagement with its corporate clients in the Lake Zone.

The meeting aimed at exploring business opportunities, introducing new banking solutions, and announcing the establishment of a specialized desk to serve stakeholders in the mining, agriculture and fisheries sectors.

The event brought together major clients and senior NBC officials from across the Lake Zone and the bank's headquarters, including NBC's Director of Corporate Banking, Elvis Ndunguru and the bank's Head of Strategy, Msafiri Shayo.

Speaking during the event, Ndunguru, outlined the bank's vision to deepen its involvement in key sectors of the economy by deploying a team of seasoned experts who will provide sector-specific insights and banking services.

The upcoming specialized desk will be dedicated to understanding and addressing the unique financial needs of players in the mining, agriculture, fisheries industries and many others.

"This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to maintain regular dialogue with our clients, allowing us to continuously improve our services in alignment with their evolving needs," said Ndunguru.

"NBC recognizes the need to offer superior services while nurturing strong client relationships. This is especially important in today's rapidly evolving landscape driven by innovation and technology."

He noted that NBC is committed to developing customized financial solutions, drawing on industry expertise and client feedback gathered through such engagements.

By leveraging this approach, the bank aims to deliver more tailored services such as loans, insurance products, and educational support on modern business practices in the respective sectors.

In addition to sector-specific offerings, NBC is also working to increase access to financial services and strengthen business networks among its clients. Central to this is NBC Connect, the bank's flagship digital platform designed specifically for large institutions and corporate entities.

"We believe that exceptional service starts with a deep understanding of our clients' needs and aspirations," Ndunguru added.

"These interactions provide us with valuable insights that fuel innovation and enhance the overall banking experience. For example, our engagements with clients in the business sector have already enabled us to develop highly responsive services. We are now replicating that success across other critical sectors like mining, agriculture, fisheries and many others.

NBC continues to prioritize initiatives in education, health, and environmental sustainability as part of its commitment to national development.

The dinner gathering also served as a platform for client feedback. Many attendees expressed appreciation for NBC's efforts and praised the effectiveness of NBC Connect in transforming their banking experience.

"NBC Connect has significantly improved our operational efficiency, particularly in managing transactions and accessing banking services," said Nyanjige Ngambeki of the Mwanza Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MWAUWASA).

"This digital platform, designed for institutions and large businesses, has simplified both domestic payments via TISS and international transactions, offering enhanced convenience and security."

Rajab Kinande, Regional Manager of the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) in the Lake Zone, commended the bank's digital innovation.
