In a bold reaffirmation of its long-term investment in Tanzania’s Lake Zone, NCBA Bank held an exclusive High Net-Worth Customer Engagement Dinner recently, bringing together over 150 of the region’s most influential clients.
Held in Mwanza, the event was attended by the Acting Managing Director, Alex Mziray, and members of the NCBA Executive Committee, symbolizing the bank’s intent to walk closely with its clients in a fast-evolving financial ecosystem.
The dinner came at a pivotal moment for NCBA, just weeks ahead of the launch of its new thematic campaign, “Maisha ni hesabu – Numbers that matter,” which seeks to shift public perception around banking and numbers from cold statistics to personal stories of progress and purpose. Mziray’s keynote address echoed that philosophy.
“When we say numbers that matter, we are not just talking about interest rates, ROE, or deposits. We’re talking about your children’s education, your investments, your businesses, your retirement plans your journey. At NCBA, we understand that every number has a human face, and a future behind it,” said Mziray to applause.
During his address, Mziray outlined a series of strategic advancements the bank has made especially in the digital space demonstrating NCBA’s commitment to innovation and ease. Key among them is the revamped internet banking platform, set to launch soon, and the enhanced NCBA NOW mobile app, which continues to gain traction across customer segments for its intuitive and reliable services.
“As the world changes, so do customer needs. We are not just upgrading platforms we are upgrading experiences,” he emphasized.
The dinner also spotlighted NCBA’s industry leadership in Asset Finance, where the bank has remained a preferred partner for clients seeking tailored financing for vehicles, machinery, and capital goods. “We are proud to say that NCBA has the best asset finance offering in the country one that understands both ambition and responsibility,” Mziray said.
Beyond financial innovation, the bank has invested in platforms that blend business with community and lifestyle, such as the NCBA Golf Series, which continues to gain momentum as a signature engagement platform. “It’s not just about golf it’s about creating room for conversations that matter, about growth, mentorship, and connectivity,” he noted.
NCBA’s commitment to sustainability also featured prominently. Just last month, the bank led a tree planting initiative along River Mpiji in Bunju B, where 5,000 trees were planted to restore biodiversity and protect local ecosystems. “We believe in sustainable progress one that builds wealth without leaving communities or nature behind,” Mziray said.
The evening wasn’t just about updates it was about affirmation. Affirmation that NCBA is listening, adapting, and standing beside its clients with bold intent. “Tonight is a message: You matter. Your ambitions matter. Your numbers matter. And NCBA is here to ensure those numbers tell a success story,” Mziray concluded.
Guests described the dinner as both timely and energizing, offering not just updates but a reaffirmation of shared values and mutual trust.
