Zanzibar's Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Aboud Suleiman Jumbe, has urged Tanzanian citizens and stakeholders to leverage the upcoming Osaka Japan exhibitions for economic and social promotion.

He specifically called on business and tourism entities to participate and provide digital information to ensure comprehensive national representation at the Expo 2025, scheduled for Osaka from April 12 to October 13, 2025.

Dr. Jumbe highlighted that the expo also presents an opportune moment to announce Tanzania's co-hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027, aiming to attract key stakeholders.

Echoing this sentiment, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr. Hashil Abdallah, emphasized the significant benefits of the exhibition for Tanzania, offering a platform for Tanzanian investors and businesspeople to connect with international counterparts from over 160 nations.

He detailed the diverse sectors represented, including Tourism, Infrastructure, Arts, Science and Technology, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Blue Economy, Health, Swahili Language and Culture, Energy, and Investment.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr. Said Mzee, encouraged Tanzanians to register in large numbers via the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) website to maximize national participation.

The Executive Director of the Zanzibar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZNCC), Hamad Hamad, confirmed the active involvement of the Zanzibar private sector across various fields such as tourism, blue economy, manufacturing, and agriculture, including participation from seaweed farmers seeking business growth.
