IGP Wambura reshuffles Senior Police Commanders
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Camillus Wambura has made changes involving three senior police commanders, including the Dodoma Regional Police Commander (RPC).
A statement issued today, June 17, 2025, by the Police Force spokesperson announced that Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) George Katabazi, who was the Dodoma RPC, has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters in Dodoma.
His position has been filled by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Galus Hyera, who previously served as the Commander of the Railway Police Unit.
Additionally, ACP Matride Kuyeto has been moved from his role as Kinondoni District Police Commander to become the new Railway PolicPolicee Commander.
The statement emphasized that the transfers are part of routine changes within the Police Force aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
