THE National Service (JKT) has officially announced the enlistment of 2025 Form Six leavers for compulsory training, with reporting scheduled from May 27 to June 8, this year.

Speaking to reporters in Dodoma yesterday, JKT’s Acting Head of Administration, Col. Juma Mlay, said all selected youth must report to their designated camps with the necessary items as listed in the official announcement.

The designated training camps are: JKT Rwamkoma (Mara), JKT Ruvu and JKT Kibiti (Pwani), JKT Mpwapwa and JKT Makutupora (Dodoma), JKT Mafinga (Iringa), JKT Mlale (Ruvuma), JKT Mgambo and JKT Maramba (Tanga), JKT Makuyuni, JKT Orjolo (Arusha), JKT Bulombora, JKT Kanembwa and JKT Mtabila (Kigoma), JKT Itaka (Songwe), JKT Luwa and JKT Milundikwa (Rukwa) and JKT Nachingwea (Lindi).

Col. Mlay noted that visually impaired youth should report specifically to JKT Ruvu camp in Pwani Region.

He emphasized that all opportunities are offered free of charge and details of the selection are available on the official JKT website www.jkt.mil.tz

He urged youth and their families to be wary of fraudsters claiming to facilitate placement.

“On behalf of the JKT Chief, Maj Gen Rajabu Mabele, I call on all Form Six leavers from Mainland Tanzania to report for this training as required by law,” he said.

Recruits are expected to bring the following items: a pair of dark blue or black shorts with an elastic waistband, knee-length, no zippers, and a single back pocket, a green or blue tracksuit, a green t-shirt and green or blue sports shoes, two blue bedsheets and long black socks, warm clothing for those assigned to cold regions, academic documents and birth certificate, O-level and A-level certificates and bus fare for the journey to and from the assigned camp.

Col. Mlay added that the full list of names and camp assignments are accessible via the JKT website. Candidates can check their placement by entering the name or index number of their secondary school. A label reading ‘selected’ will indicate that a school has successful candidates. By clicking it, one can view names and assigned camps.
