ARUSHA Regional Commissioner, Paul Makonda, has urged a crucial partnership between the government and the Tanzania Law Society (TLS) to bolster legal support for residents.

Speaking in Arusha today during the International Women's Day (IWD) commemoration, with President Samia Suluhu Hassan as the guest of honor, Makonda emphasized the potential of the approximately 882 lawyers in the TLS chapter to the region to provide much-needed legal assistance to the community.

"Many of our citizens cannot afford legal services and often face injustice due to a lack of legal understanding. With your approval, we plan to mobilize these lawyers to offer support. By September this year, we aim to eliminate legal disputes arising from ignorance," he said.

This collaboration, he stressed, will empower the people of Arusha, creating a more informed society through the concerted efforts of both the government and TLS.
