THE Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has officially postponed the highly anticipated derby between Yanga and Simba, which was scheduled to take place today, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

This decision comes after a dispute arose when Simba was denied entry to the stadium for their final training session before the match. 

The incident sparked protests from Simba's management, who claimed it violated league regulations.

TPLB is expected to provide further details regarding the new match date and the actions to be taken following the situation. Football fans in the country eagerly await the forthcoming decisions to ensure fair play for both sides.
