TANZANIA and Egypt have agreed to boost collaboration in trade, climate action, aviation, and skills exchange during high-level talks on the sidelines of the African Union (AU) ministerial meetings in Accra.

Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, held discussions with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during talks on the sidelines of the 47th Ordinary Session of the African Union Council of Ministers and the 7th AU Mid-Year Coordination Meeting in Accra, Ghana.

The ministers identified strategic areas for strengthening bilateral ties, with a focus on enhancing trade relations, promoting environmental protection efforts to address climate change and advancing cooperation in the aviation sector.

They also explored opportunities for professional exchange, particularly in key sectors such as conference tourism and health services, as part of broader efforts to accelerate economic and social development in both countries.
