UYOLE parliamentary candidate Ipyana Njiku on the People’s Liberation Party (CHAUMMA) ticket today submitted his nomination form to the National Electoral Commission(INEC) to contest against Speaker Dr. Tulia Ackson.

Njiku, a professional journalist and Deputy Director of Public Communications, received the form from Uyole and Mbeya City Constituency Election Supervisor, Annamary Joseph, accompanied by supporters including former Isanga Ward council aspirant David Nyembe.

After submitting the form, Njiku said his party’s top priority is resolving water shortages in Uyole by initiating a project to draw water from Lake Nyasa.

He noted that ongoing government projects, including the Kiwira River source, will last 20 years, but CHAUMMA is planning a long-term solution.

“Our colleagues in Shinyanga and Tabora rely on Lake Victoria’s reliable water. Why can’t we use water from Lake Rukwa? CHAUMMA has made this part of our manifesto,” he said.

He added: “The party plans to distribute desktop computers to all schools and modern smartphones to teachers to support ICT learning and modern teaching methods."

Njiku promised civil campaigns, emphasizing that insults or mockery of other candidates will not be tolerated, and that food will be distributed to participants before policy discussions to ensure they can listen attentively.
