CARAVANS Cricket Club has praised various firms and the game's stakeholders for fully cooperating with the club to have a successful hosting of the Petrofuel TCA Caravans Cup 2025, which came to an end in Dar es Salaam on August 10.
The Petrofuel TCA Caravans Cup 2025, according to the club, concluded with not only cricketing excellence but also meaningful contributions to the community.
This year’s tournament was, the club revealed, not just about cricket glory; it sought to fully play a part in efforts to support community initiatives.
As part of the Caravans Green Earth Initiative, the club, in collaboration with Lions Club of Dar es Salaam HOST & SKY, pledged a remarkable 1,002 trees from this edition — a lasting contribution to environmental sustainability.
Additionally, in partnership with Muhimbili Hospital and Lions Club of Dar es Salaam HOST & SKY, Caravans Cricket Club's Blood Donation Drive for the Childhood Cancer Warriors program collected 52 units of blood — enough to help over 150 patients in need.
These initiatives reflect Caravans Cricket Club’s commitment to giving back to the community while excelling on the cricket field.
The club extended its deepest gratitude to the Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) for the association's invaluable leadership, guidance, and strong support in ensuring the smooth hosting of the tournament.
The TCA, according to the club, has been working tirelessly to develop and popularise cricket across Tanzania.
The association's efforts are, Caravans Cricket Club added, now bearing fruit— with the Tanzania U-19 men's cricket team qualifying for the 2026 ICC U-19 Men's World Cup, a historic milestone that inspires all Tanzanians.
The outfit, moreover, issued special thanks to Dar es Salaam Cricket (DC), Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club's management, and the club's Cricket Section's tireless groundsmen, whose dedication provided excellent conditions and ensured the success of the showpiece.
The tournament was supported by title sponsor Petrofuel (T) Limited and a strong consortium of partners, namely platinum sponsors Alliance Insurance, ASAS, Automark, Ras Logistics, Pepsi, and Unique.

Alliance Caravans successfully laid their hands on the tournament's title after defeating RAAH Upanga Club by 51 runs in the final, ascertaining their dominance in domestic cricket's club tournaments in recent years.
