SHOBIT Sharma showcased a solid game with the bat as Dar Indians Titans B garnered a 12-run win over Tamil Nadu SC in the 2025 Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) DC League 2 match in Dar es Salaam recently.

It was, for that matter, the first positive outcome for Dar Indians Titans B, putting them in the seventh spot in Group B of the showpiece.

The Mahesh Soneji-led Dar Indians Titans B took the crease first in the match, amassing 130/8 in the scheduled 20 overs.

Opener Sharma and Bhagat Raj-who batted at number four- played a pivotal role in their team's pursuit of a better total.

Sharma ended up as the batsman with the most runs during his squad's batting time, grabbing 62 runs at a strike rate of 135.

Dar Indians Titans B proudly moved to 128-7 in the 19th over, once Sharma made his way back to the pavilion, giving the squad hopes of securing a respectable figure.

Raj had earlier propelled Dar Indians Titans B to 84-3 in the 15th over, exiting the crease at a time when the club was battling for more runs.

Merison Pathrose and Radha Ramasamy showcased spirited bowling for Tamil Nadu SC, aiming at frustrating efforts by Dar Indians Titans B to set up a challenging target.

Pathrose ended up with the best bowling figure given the cricketer garnered 3-23 and a 5.8 economy rate.

Ramasamy further battled to give Tamil Nadu SC an edge when fielding, having notched 2-6 and a 3.00 economy rate.

Needing 131 runs to secure their first victory in the showdown, Tamil Nadu SC sought to zealously get down to a successful chase but ended up scoring 118/9 in 20 overs to prolong their losing streak.

Hari P, Ravi Kumar, and Ramasamy were by far the performers with an encouraging showing in what was ultimately an unsuccessful endeavour by the club.

The trio fought vigorously to bring about steadiness in batting, as the squad got off to a wobbly start when openers Dhinesh Duraisamy and Praveen Kumar faced early dismissals.

Dar Black Panthers, Patel B, Estim B, Caravans C, DJ Fighters, Sandy's Super Strikers, Annadil Seifee, MCC, Union Youth, and Strikers B feature in Group A.

Gupta Upanga SC- B, Karibu Tanzanite DCC, Specialized K&P B, Patel Titans, Unisoft Aces C, SKLPSC B, Lions C, Dar Tigers, Dar Indians Titans B, and Tamil Nadu SC make Group B.
