AS uncertainty continues to cloud the future of Young Africans (Yanga) star midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, Libyan giants Al Ahly Tripoli are closely monitoring the situation and are reportedly ready to re-enter negotiations should Moroccan side Wydad Athletic fail to complete the player's transfer by the agreed deadline.

Sources close to the deal have revealed that Young Africans and Wydad reached an agreement giving the Casablanca-based club until July 10 to finalize the transfer of the talented Burkinabe midfielder.

If Wydad fail to meet the stipulated terms by that date, Young Africans will have the freedom to either reintegrate Aziz Ki (pictured) into their squad or consider offers from other interested clubs.

Despite having their initial bid rejected for falling short of Young Africans’ valuation, Al Ahly Tripoli have not ruled themselves out of the race. Insiders within the Young Africans leadership confirm that the Libyan side has expressed readiness to return to the table with an improved offer provided Wydad falter in concluding the deal within the given timeframe.

This development underscores the level of interest surrounding the player, who has become one of the most sought-after midfielders in African club football. Al Ahly Tripoli are believed to still view Aziz Ki as a priority target and are strategically waiting for their chance to swoop in.

Currently, Aziz Ki is on vacation as he waits for clarity regarding his next move. The midfielder, who has been an instrumental figure in Young Africans’ rise to prominence in recent years, is reportedly keeping an open mind as discussions continue behind the scenes.

With just days remaining until Wydad’s deadline, the pressure is mounting for the Moroccan club to fulfill its obligations. Any delay or breakdown in talks could open the door for Al Ahly Tripoli or other suitors to make their move.

While the situation remains tense among fans, Young Africans’ management is said to be maintaining composure as they weigh their options. The club has no intention of rushing the process, instead adopting a strategic approach aimed at safeguarding their interests whether that means retaining Aziz Ki’s services for the upcoming season or maximizing financial returns from his sale.

Young Africans’ decision-makers are reportedly evaluating multiple scenarios; including negotiating with new potential buyers or retaining the player should current negotiations collapse. Club officials are aware of Aziz Ki’s value, both on the pitch and in the market, and are determined to ensure that any outcome aligns with Young Africans’ long-term ambitions.

Aziz Ki’s popularity and market value have soared thanks to his exceptional performances over the past three seasons with the Tanzanian giants. Known for his composure, vision, and leadership in midfield, he has been pivotal in Young Africans’ domestic success and impressive runs in continental competitions.

His influence on the team has earned him admiration from fans and respect from opponents across Africa. The interest from top clubs such as Wydad and Al Ahly Tripoli is a testament to the impact he has had, and further highlights Young Africans’ success in developing high-profile talent.
