FOR the second consecutive year, IPP Media will participate in the Mac D Bonanza - a community sports event featuring a football match and a fun run - scheduled to take place on June 7 in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at a press briefing yesterday, event coordinator Denzel Rweyunga confirmed the continued partnership with IPP Media, noting it reflects a strong and growing relationship.
"This is our second time partnering with IPP Media, and we see it as an opportunity for them to regroup after last year’s defeat. We believe they’ll come back stronger and ready to seek revenge against the Mac D team," Rweyunga said.
This year’s bonanza will also include optional fun runs open to the public. Participants can choose between 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer distances.
"There’s no entry fee, but registration is essential so we can prepare running shirts and bib numbers for participants," he said.
The runs will start and end at the Kunduchi Military College grounds, proceeding toward Ununio and looping back after reaching the Catholic Church at Ununio.
"The goal is to promote health and fitness. Joggers from EATV will also join us for the run," Rweyunga added.
Representing IPP Media, Damdel Ndunguru of ITV said the company is ready for a rematch and fully committed to the event.
"IPP Media will participate in all activities - starting with the morning run and ending with the football match in the evening. Our team will include staff from ITV, EATV, Radio One, Capital TV, and The Guardian," he said.
Now in its second year, the Mac D Bonanza is sponsored by Bonite, the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), EB Twenty-Five, Isumba Trans Ltd, Zak’s Bay, and PICD.
