ARUSHA-based tour operators have applauded the newly launched private banking client value proposition (CVP), saying it is helping them make strategic financial decisions and plan for long-term business growth.

“This service has helped me plan more strategically,” a tour operator and farmer in Usa River, Arnold Shirima said here over the weekend when speaking during a high-level event, where Stanbic Bank unveiled the service. The launch follows similar events in Mwanza and Mbeya, underscoring Stanbic’s commitment to expanding bespoke banking services beyond Dar es Salaam.

He said that the tailored financial solutions designed to meet the unique needs of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals in the region. Arusha, known for tourism, cash crop farming, and family-run enterprises, now benefits from Private Banking offerings such as expert financial advisory, investment planning, legacy building, and relationship-managed services.

Shirima said: “Managing seasonal income and high operational costs is tough, but with bank’s support, I’ve learned to separate business and personal finances, and I now feel more in control.”

Bruno Ngowa, a gemstone miner and lodge owner, echoed the sentiment: “Private Banking has helped me lay a solid foundation for growth and succession. For the first time, I see these minerals not just as income—but as a legacy for my children.”

Shangwe Kisanji, bank’s head of private banking, said the bank sees Arusha as a key growth market:“Arusha is home to visionary leaders driving regional development. Our presence here ensures they can access the expertise needed to pursue their ambitions confidently.”

Held under the theme “Ambition Never Stops,” the event gathered select clients and stakeholders to explore wealth creation and protection across generations.Stanbic’s Private Banking suite includes investment advisory, family wealth planning, offshore solutions, and tailored credit, supported by financial literacy programs to empower clients and their families.

 The bank was recently named Tanzania’s Best Bank for Private Banking 2024 by Euromoney, recognizing its ability to deliver world-class services grounded in local insight. As it marks 30 years in Tanzania, Stanbic’s expansion into regional markets like Arusha reflects its mission to drive inclusive growth and bring financial expertise closer to clients nationwide.
