Dr Nchimbi: CCM is ready for October polls
THE ruling party CCM Secretary General, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, has expressed the party's full readiness to participate in the upcoming General Election scheduled for October this year.
Dr. Nchimbi made the remarks at Masasi Airport in Mtwara Region after arriving from Dar es Salaam to begin a five-day tour of Ruvuma Region.
Dr. Nchimbi reaffirmed the party's preparedness in his address, stating that preparations for the election were already well underway.
He emphasized that CCM is focused on securing a decisive victory in the elections. "CCM is ready for the election and is determined to win. This year, let’s achieve an unprecedented victory," Dr. Nchimbi declared confidently.
The Secretary General also took the opportunity to encourage leaders at all levels within the party to engage more with their constituencies.
He urged local leaders to visit their areas and strengthen relationships with the people.
"Our leaders need to be present, listen to the people, and ensure that their concerns are addressed," he added.
During his tour, Dr. Nchimbi is expected to visit several districts, including Nyasa, Tunduru, and Songea, where he will hold public rallies to further engage with the citizens and galvanize support for the party.
The five-day tour is part of CCM's ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the region and ensure a strong turnout in the upcoming elections.
