THE public has been called upon to embrace digital methods over traditional paper invitations, citing significant advantages in time-saving and convenience.
Speaking yesterday, Envaita's Communications Manager, Praygod Mangi, said that using digital invitation cards saves a lot, although people lack trust in them.
"The digital method is good, but the challenge is that people still don't understand it; they think it's a scam. Also, there has been a perception that if someone is sent invitation cards via phone, they feel disrespected. However, it is the right and appropriate way in this era of digital globalization," said Mangi.
Mangi further highlighted the financial prudence enabled by digital invitations.
"Event organizers gain a precise understanding of the number of attendees, which is invaluable for accurate budget planning and resource allocation.
He said that digital invitations also help in planning budgets because you have the exact number of people attending your event.
Speaking about Envaita's company providing digital invitation services, he said that the service is affordable and easily accessible.
"All digital invitations are sent via WhatsApp; whether you have a smartphone or not, you receive your invitation. For those who do not have smartphones, their card numbers and all their information are sent to their basic phones and are also available online."
"Also, there are people you might send an invitation to who might not understand and suspect it's a scam. We call them to provide information so they don't worry. On the day of the event, we also attend to scan the cards," said Mangi.
He said that a card cannot be used twice, and no one can enter the event without being invited.
He added that after the event, the company sends a thank-you text message to the people, originating from the family.
