CCM presidential candidate Samia Suluhu Hassan has urged Tanzanians to wake up early and walk together “leaving no one behind” during the October 29 General Election, calling for a strong voter turnout to secure continued peace and progress.
Addressing a campaign rally today October 8 in Mwanza City, Samia said unity at the ballot box was key to sustaining Tanzania’s stability and ongoing economic transformation.
“We must all wake up early, walk together as one family and vote for CCM candidates to secure a resounding victory,” she said. “Let us ignore those spreading hatred and instead protect the peace and unity that define us.”
Samia praised residents of Mwanza for their strong support, noting that the region has received more than 5.6trn/- in development investments over the past five years, including major projects in water, energy, education and transport.
She reaffirmed her pledge to expand opportunities in agriculture, fisheries and livestock, promising to provide free poultry inputs to farmers as part of her government’s efforts to increase production, exports, and incomes.
Samia emphasised that her next administration would continue to strengthen national unity and ensure Tanzania remains a beacon of peace and prosperity in Africa.
