IN an initiative to support the youth and sports sector in the country Jubilee Life Insurance has donated sports equipment to Don Bosco Oysterbay basketball teams.

The two sponsored teams are Don Bosco Oratory (boys) team and Don Bosco Troncatti (Girls).

Speaking during the handover event, held in Dar es Salaam today, August 21 2024, Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited CEO Helena Mzena, said the sponsorship is part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aimed at helping young people attain their goals.

“Jubilee life Insurance's new initiative reflects our commitment to going beyond the usual role of insurance. We're not just offering services; we're sharing valuable insights that help people make smart choices for their health and financial well-being, hence today’s initiative to sponsor Don Bosco Oratory (boys) team and Don Bosco Troncatti (Girls). Basketball teams, as a support to attain their goals” she said.

He added: “Sports is a guarantee of health. Let us keep supporting youth so they can make it when they get empowered.”

“We pledge to be best ambassadors of our teams and Don Bosco in general as we strive to achieve our goals,” he said.
