SIMBA Sports Club has entered a new era of development after officially announcing a five-year strategic partnership with Jayrutty Investment Company, which will now serve as the club’s exclusive distributor of merchandise and equipment.

The groundbreaking deal is valued at TZS 38 billion and signals the club’s ambition to cement its dominance both domestically and across the continent.

Speaking at the official unveiling ceremony, chairman of the Simba SC tender committee, Seif Muba, stated that the selection process was highly competitive, with several companies submitting bids.

However, Jayrutty Investment Company emerged as the preferred partner based on the strength and quality of its offer.

“Jayrutty won the tender to sell and distribute all Simba SC products. Under this agreement, the club will receive TZS 5.6 billion annually, with a 10 percent increment every year,” Muba explained.

Jayrutty Investment Company director, Joseph Rwegasira, described the partnership as extending far beyond merchandise distribution, revealing that it includes several high-impact infrastructure and development projects aimed at elevating Simba SC’s stature.

“One of the biggest projects we’re undertaking is the construction of a modern stadium with a seating capacity of between 10,000 and 12,000 fans. This is just one component of our long-term commitment to the club’s growth,” Rwegasira said.

In addition to the stadium, Rwegasira disclosed that the company would also provide the club with a state-of-the-art Irizar team bus to facilitate players' travel during competitions.

He further announced an annual contribution of TZS 100 million towards Simba Day celebrations, a major fan event, and plans to renovate and upgrade the club’s medical facility.

“Our commitment to Simba SC is holistic. Apart from supporting infrastructure, we are injecting TZS 470 million annually as performance bonuses and allowances for the players, especially to motivate them during major competitions,” he added.

Rwegasira emphasized that the financial incentives for players will be reviewed and increased every season to ensure sustained performance and motivation.

He also highlighted the company’s commitment to positioning Simba SC on the global football map by introducing internationally acclaimed, high-quality jerseys and merchandise.

“We want to assure the Simba fans that next season will be special. The team kits will match global standards in quality and design, which will enhance the club’s prestige and commercial value,” he said.

The deal is expected to significantly transform the club’s commercial and operational model, as it marks a shift toward sustainability and international visibility.

Simba are aiming to build a brand that resonates beyond Tanzania and East Africa, and this partnership aligns perfectly with that vision.

The timing of the agreement also comes as Simba continue their quest for silverware in domestic and continental competitions, further underlining the club’s intent to reinforce its status as one of the most successful and organized clubs in Africa.

Through this agreement, the company becomes not just a supplier but a strategic development partner. The infrastructure investments, coupled with consistent financial injections and player incentives, reflect a long-term vision that could set Simba apart in African football.

The deal is also expected to boost the club’s commercial revenue streams, as it opens up new opportunities for merchandising, branding, and fan engagement.

Simba’s passionate fanbase, one of the largest in the region, stands to benefit through easier access to quality merchandise and enhanced matchday experiences.

Simba, one of Tanzania's most decorated football clubs, have made significant strides in recent years in professionalizing their operations and strengthening their brand. With this new chapter, the club appears determined to continue its trajectory toward becoming a football powerhouse in Africa.

The partnership is set to serve as a model for other clubs in the region, illustrating how strategic business alliances can drive both financial growth and sporting success.

The five-year deal lays the groundwork for sustained investment, innovation, and success on and off the pitch.
