THE community has been urged to exercise their constitutional right by actively participating in the 2025 general election and electing upright leaders who will safeguard the nation’s values of peace and stability.
The call was made by Chief Prophet Dr. Moses Geordavie on July 5, 2025, in Dodoma, shortly after he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Association of Philosophical Doctors and Professors Tanzania (APDPT).
Dr. Geordavie emphasized that 2025 is a critical election year and encouraged Tanzanians to take part in shaping the future of the nation by choosing leaders who will continue to uphold peace and national unity. “It is our duty as citizens to use our vote wisely, for the sake of protecting the harmony and stability we currently enjoy,” he said.
Speaking during the award ceremony, APDPT Chairperson Professor Rejoice Ndalima said Dr. Geordavie was honored in recognition of his outstanding contributions to society.
She highlighted several of his community-based efforts, including the construction of a road in Dodoma, supporting vulnerable children and women, empowering local artists, and offering start-up capital to marginalized groups. Among the beneficiaries were former sex workers in Arusha and individuals previously engaged in gambling, whom he helped transition into more sustainable livelihoods.
Prof Ndalima added that the honorary doctorate reflects not only Dr. Geordavie’s spiritual leadership but also his tangible impact on grassroots communities through service and empowerment initiatives.
The event brought together religious leaders, scholars, and community members, all commending Dr. Geordavie’s efforts to blend faith with practical social development.
