HaloPesa, the financial service of Halotel, has launched a new campaign dubbed “Tamba na Bonasi”, introducing a digital ambassador known as Mr. Bonus who will be the face of the promotion.

Through the campaign, customers will be rewarded with exciting bonuses by simply carrying out everyday transactions via HaloPesa, including sending and withdrawing money, paying bills, purchasing goods, and buying electricity tokens (LUKU). Participants will also be entered into daily, weekly, and monthly draws, with winners receiving up to TZS 2 million in cash.

Speaking at the launch, HaloPesa’s Head of Business Department, Happy Mzena, said the initiative demonstrates the company’s dedication to providing greater value for its users.

“Mr. Bonus is not only the symbol of this campaign but also a digital reward platform that brings excitement to every transaction,” she said. “Our goal is to ensure that every HaloPesa service gives customers the opportunity to win.”

HaloPesa Marketing Officer, Aidat Lwiza, said the campaign was designed to make digital financial services more engaging.

“Tamba na Bonasi is a unique digital experience tailored for HaloPesa customers. Mr. Bonus introduces a fun and rewarding element, ensuring that every transaction becomes an opportunity,” she explained.

She added that HaloPesa continues to lead the market with affordable services, noting that transactions from HaloPesa to HaloPesa are free via the HaloPesa App, and so is purchasing electricity tokens.

Lwiza also emphasised the importance of customer security during the campaign, reminding users that official winner notifications will only be sent under the name HaloPesa and that calls will come exclusively from the customer service line 100.

HaloPesa said the campaign reflects its commitment to offering not just convenience and security but also rewards and excitement for customers across Tanzania. With its wide agent network and Halotel shops nationwide, the company assured Tanzanians that its services remain affordable and easily accessible.
