CCM Secretary of the National Executive Committee on Ideology, Publicity, and Training, Kenani Kihongosi, has called on party members to uphold unity, discipline, and peace, warning against undermining the party or inciting unrest.

Speaking at a working meeting with ward-level and Dar es Salaam regional party leaders, Kihongosi emphasized that the CCM system follows the principle of “party first, individual later,” and that a few leaders should not be allowed to tarnish the party.

“Party discipline is crucial. It is unacceptable for any CCM member to speak ill of the party publicly or on social media. There are official forums to present issues and have them addressed,” he said.

He urged members to love the party not for personal gain but for the nation’s welfare, stressing that all members must serve as examples in protecting peace.

“Do not allow your party chairman to be undermined. No true CCM member will incite disruption of our peace and stability,” he added.

Kihongosi also announced that on August 28, CCM plans to launch campaigns for the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates at Tanganyika Packers Grounds in Dar es Salaam, calling on members to attend in large numbers.

He warned against those preaching unrest, noting that such acts violate the country’s constitution and must not be tolerated.

Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila said the region is guided by elder Abbas Mmtevu and praised CCM members as exemplary ambassadors of peace. “As government leaders, we will work shoulder to shoulder with the party to ensure the dignity of every Tanzanian is respected,” Chalamila said.
