CRDB Bank Lake Zone Manager, Lusingi Sitta, has picked up nomination forms seeking approval to contest the parliamentary seat for Kisesa Constituency, located in Meatu District, Simiyu Region.
The entry of the banking executive into the race against incumbent MP Luhaga Mpina is expected to intensify the internal competition within the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in the constituency.
While collecting his forms, Sitta pledged that, if given the mandate, he would ensure access to clean and reliable water in Kisesa through wells and sustainable water projects.
He also promised to fight for increased budget allocations to build or upgrade schools and dispensaries in rural areas.
“I will mobilize youth to join income-generating groups and help them access capital and training,” said Sitta.
He further committed to working closely with the government to ensure major and rural roads are constructed or rehabilitated to remain passable throughout the year.
