PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has made new appointments in key government institutions, focusing on enhancing leadership in planning, innovation, and governance.
According to a statement issued on the state’s X media page by Presidential Communications Director Sharifa Nyanga, Dr. Blandina Kilama has been appointed Deputy Executive Secretary of the Planning Commission, responsible for business and innovation
Dr. Kilama replaces Dr. Lorah Madete, whose appointment has been revoked. Dr. Madete will be assigned other responsibilities.
In another appointment, President Samia named Ambassador George Kahema Madafa as the new Chairperson of Puma Energy Tanzania Board. He succeeds Dr. Majige Budeba, whose term has come to an end.
Additionally, the President has reappointed Jacob Jail Kibona to serve a second term as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB).
The swearing-in ceremony for the new Deputy Executive Secretary will be held on a date to be announced.
