CCM presidential candidate, Samia Suluhu Hassan, is today set to launch her campaign in Ruvuma Region, bringing with her a showcase of billions of shillings’ worth of development projects implemented under her administration.
Ruvuma becomes the 13th region to host Samia since she kicked off her nationwide campaign at Tanganyika Packers Grounds in Dar es Salaam. She has so far toured Morogoro, Dodoma, Songwe, Mbeya, Njombe, Iringa, Singida, Tabora, Kigoma, Unguja South, Unguja North and Pemba South, drawing large crowds in each stop.
In her campaign rallies, Samia has placed strong emphasis on protecting the Union, maintaining peace and stability, and assuring citizens that the upcoming General Election on 29 October will be conducted in a calm and orderly manner. She has appealed to Tanzanians to turn out in large numbers to vote without fear, stressing that security and defence agencies remain well-prepared to safeguard the electoral process.
Alongside outlining CCM’s 2025 election manifesto, Dr Samia — who is running with Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi as her vice-presidential candidate — is also campaigning for the party’s parliamentary and councillorship aspirants.
Under the Sixth-Phase government, Ruvuma Region has seen 249.7bn/- invested in development projects across key sectors of education, healthcare,tourism and many other.
