Authorities warn that the death toll may rise as rescue efforts continue, with reports suggesting a smaller vehicle and a motorcycle rider were also caught in the blaze.

AT least two people are feared dead after a crash involving two heavy trucks—one carrying fuel from Dar es Salaam and another transporting cargo from Rwanda—along the Morogoro-Dar es Salaam highway at Nanenane.

According to Morogoro Regional Fire and Rescue Officer Faraja Pazi, the accident occurred around 1 a.m today March 4, 2025, but the exact cause remains unknown.

Firefighters struggled to put out the flames before gaining control of the situation.
