YOUNG Africans (Yanga) supporters are rushing to get their hands on tickets for the climax of the club's annual ‘Mwananchi Week’ festival after the most expensive VIP tickets completely sold out.

The sellout signals that the event, set for September 12 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, is poised to be bigger than ever. The Royal VVIP Experience tickets, priced at 600,000/- each, were snapped up by eager fans looking for a premium experience. The exclusive offer included three jerseys, a polo shirt, lunch, an escort, a special souvenir, and refreshments.

Young Africans’ spokesperson, Ali Kamwe (pictured), boasted that the overwhelming demand proves the festival has moved beyond a simple sports event. "We have already sold all VIP A tickets," he announced. "This event has transcended being just a sports festival and is now a historical festival. If you haven't bought a ticket, you're likely to miss a rare opportunity to witness the climax of Mwananchi Week."

The festivities will kick off with an official launch and a massive demonstration in Dar es Salaam today. "We want to make a big and historic demonstration," Kamwe declared, urging fans to "paint the whole of Dar to be green and yellow."

The event promises to unveil some of the artists who will perform during the climax celebrations. In a move sure to draw regional attention, the reigning Mainland Premier League champions have invited Bandari FC of Kenya for a friendly match as part of the celebrations.

The game has taken on added significance following the recent elimination of both the Tanzanian (Taifa Stars) and Kenyan (Harambee Stars) national teams at the quarter-finals of the ongoing CHAN games, leaving their long-standing rivalry unresolved.

Kamwe cranked up the hype, portraying the friendly as a clash of real consequence. "This will not just be a friendly match," he said. "I want Kenyans to hear this - we have handed over our national frustrations to Yanga. They will defend Tanzania’s pride against Bandari."

Fans still hoping to attend the festival are encouraged to quickly buy the remaining ordinary tickets to avoid missing out on what promises to be a memorable day for the club and its supporters.
