THE ACT Wazalendo Presidential Candidate, Luhaga Mpina, was blocked by security officers from entering the offices of the National Electoral Commission (INEC) to submit his nomination forms.
Mpina arrived at the offices in Dododma today August 27, 2025 at 6:40 a.m. with his supporters, all of whom were barred from entering the gate of the Commission while trying to find out the reason for the restriction.
Shortly after, it was announced that 17 parties were required to submit their forms, with ACT being included in that list.
However, they were instructed to remain aside so that those who barred them could get a response from INEC.
Mpina was told to stay calm inside his car while awaiting the decision on whether he would be allowed in or denied entry.
The supporters complied with the instructions and moved a few meters away from the INEC gate, where there was heavy security both inside and outside.
Despite the restrictions, the supporters showed discipline and followed the directions given by the security officers at the gate.
